List of prohibited roads on April 14 and 15 in Hanoi
List of roads banned from cars and motorbikes on April 14 and 15 in Hanoi to welcome international delegations to visit and work in Vietnam.
From April 14 to 15, 2025, Hanoi will welcome international delegations for visits and work. To ensure security, safety and smooth traffic, Hanoi Police will conduct traffic diversion and regulation during these two days.
Time:
- Road closure on April 14, 2025: From 10:30 to 22:00
- Road closure on April 15, 2025: 3:30 p.m.
During this time, trucks carrying goods of 500kg or more, passenger cars and taxis are not allowed to circulate, except for vehicles with special badges, buses, sanitation vehicles, incident handling vehicles and fixed-route passenger cars.
Other types of cars and motorbikes will also be restricted from operating in Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem districts and Dong Anh, Soc Son, and Me Linh districts.

Organize vehicle navigation to avoid prohibited routes
Route instructions for vehicles from National Highway 5 to the Southern provinces
From National Highway 5, vehicles going to National Highway 1A, 1B can cross Thanh Tri Bridge, continue along Phap Van Street to reach National Highway 1B.
If choosing Vinh Tuy bridge, the vehicle follows Minh Khai street to Vong intersection, joins Giai Phong - Do Muoi street. Or from Vinh Tuy bridge, turn onto Nguyen Khoi dike, or go to Minh Khai - Mai Dong bridge - Tam Trinh - Do Muoi to get to National Highway 1A, 1B, or connect to Ring Road III. This route applies for both directions.
Route from National Highway 5 to the Northern provinces
Vehicles from National Highway 5 to Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen can follow National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - Dong Tru Bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet axis to reach National Highway 2.
Another option is to go from Highway 5 to Thanh Tri Bridge, cross Phu Dong Bridge, follow the road leading to Highway 3, then continue to the northern provinces. These routes also apply in the opposite direction.
Directions for vehicles traveling from the South to the North
Vehicles from Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam to Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc can follow the route Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Provincial Road 70 - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32. Then, cross Vinh Thinh Bridge or Trung Ha Bridge to reach the destination. This route is applicable for both directions.
General notes
Avoid going through Ring Road III, Thang Long Bridge and Vo Van Kiet Street to avoid congestion. All vehicles must comply with Hanoi traffic regulations according to Decision 06/2013/QD-UBND, Decision 24/2020/QD-UBND and the latest instructions from the authorities.
