Awakening the memories of a historic autumn.
As August arrives in Nghe An, a land rich in revolutionary traditions, memories of that historic autumn are not only awakened through stories and preserved evidence, but also manifested in the practical actions and profound acts of kindness that the people are offering today.
Light the thread of connection at the red address.
During the historic month of August, the Eight-Roofed Temple in Phu Yen village, Quynh Phu commune, witnesses emotional return visits as people from this coastal area come to pay tribute, reminisce, and express their gratitude for the glorious historical periods of the nation.
In addition, traditional educational activities from the "fiery era," such as the Youth Union and Party membership ceremonies, and the maintenance and cleaning of the historical site, have breathed new life into the otherwise tranquil space of the site.

The Tam Mai communal house, built in 1873, has stood for centuries, serving not only as a cradle preserving the traditional cultural beauty of the locality but also as a place closely associated with many important milestones in the revolutionary history of the homeland. In particular, since 1927, the Tam Mai communal house has witnessed many revolutionary historical events of the people of Quynh Thuan (formerly), now Quynh Phu commune. Under the leadership of the Party, Red Peasant Associations, Red Self-Defense Forces, and Women's Liberation organizations were established and actively operated. The Tam Mai communal house became a meeting place, a printing site for Party documents, leaflets, and newspapers, and a gathering point for the masses to demonstrate during the years 1930-1931.
During the August Revolution of 1945, the communal house became a place where self-defense forces prepared for the seizure of power. In 1964, local people gathered here to listen to Prime Minister Pham Van Dong speak before he visited the salt fields of the villagers. It was also from this communal house that 124 sons of the homeland enlisted in the army, carrying with them the aspiration to protect the Fatherland. With its exceptional historical value, Tam Mai Communal House was recognized as a National Monument by Decision No. 599 dated March 11, 1992.

Leading us to this historical site, Ms. Tran Thi Yen, Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Quynh Phu Commune, couldn't hide her joy as she introduced the newly launched youth project titled "Digital Transformation in Introducing and Promoting Historical and Cultural Relics of Quynh Phu Commune" at the Tam Mai Temple historical site. Previously, visitors could only find information about the temple on the historical plaque, which had limited content. Now, with a simple QR code scan, visitors can access documents, images, and historical stories about the Tam Mai Temple. Everything is recreated in a complete and vivid way.
In this way, the youth of Quynh Phu commune have renewed their approach to a historical site, making the stories preserved over time more relatable, more vivid, and ensuring their continued transmission and inseparable presence in today's life.
Leaving the sea and returning to the urban landscape, where the name "Hung Dung Red Village" has left its mark on the hearts of many people from Nghe An province, we gain further interesting insights into how a historical landmark is connected to contemporary life.
This is Trung communal house, a place that has witnessed important turning points in the history of our homeland. Built in 1843, during the Nghệ Tĩnh Soviet Uprising, the communal house was the site of revolutionary activities under the leadership of the Party. Notably, on August 17, 1945, the Viet Minh led the people of Yên Dũng village in an uprising to seize power and chose Trung communal house as their headquarters.

After the August Revolution, in response to President Ho Chi Minh's call to eradicate illiteracy, this place became a center for literacy education for the people. Throughout various revolutionary periods, the communal house also served as a gathering place to bid farewell to generations of local youths as they enlisted in the army to defend the Fatherland.
The historical events and learning sessions held here not only help locals and tourists better understand past milestones, but also transport them back to the very space where those events took place. Standing under the roof of the communal house that witnessed the day the homeland seized power, the story of the revolutionary autumn becomes more concrete and relatable, so that history is not only remembered through dates, but also felt through the very place that holds the footprints of previous generations.
Meanwhile, at the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, the stories of the Autumn of 1945 unfold through artifacts that have witnessed history. There, many visitors linger for a long time before the collection of swords, which were used for training and preparation for the seizure of power, especially during the August 1945 General Uprising.
Notably, there is also a sword forged by Comrade Vo Muu at the Nho Lam blacksmith shop (formerly Dien Chau district), which was given to Comrade Vo Quang Uan to use to protect Comrade Vo Nguyen Hien during the period of preparation for the General Uprising to seize power in the Hau Luat, Ha Cat, Xuan Vien, Trung Phuong, and Phu Ly areas, and used as a weapon to seize power in Dien Chau district town during the 1945-1947 period.

In addition to the artifacts on display that bear the mark of a glorious historical era, hundreds of other artifacts have also been digitized, opening up new ways for the public to access them.
In this experiential space, with just a touch, the documents, images, and stories behind the artifacts are revealed, creating a vivid and engaging visual experience. What was previously hidden behind glass cases and on archival pages can now be discovered through the viewer's own experience, making history more accessible to the younger generation.

Ms. Phan Thi Anh Dao, Deputy Head of the Exhibition, Communication and Education Department of the Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, said that entering August brings major national holidays, especially the commemoration of...August Revolution and National Day September 2ndThe museum welcomes thousands of visitors, including students and young people, who come to explore and learn. The artifacts associated with the August Revolution have therefore become a special stop, where viewers not only look back at a historical period but also have the opportunity to get closer to the stories of patriotism, fighting spirit, and the aspiration for independence of previous generations.
Turning pride into meaningful actions.
In anticipation of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, localities throughout the province share a common sentiment, remembering the glorious days of the nation. This spirit is concretized through specific, practical actions aimed at the community and the lives of the people.
In Yen Thanh commune, Ms. Tran Thi Binh, a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said that one of the meaningful tasks the locality has just implemented in the early days of August is supporting the construction of homes for poor and near-poor households with particularly difficult housing circumstances.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thanh commune has provided funding to support the construction of 11 "Great Solidarity" houses in the area. Of these, 9 households received 40 million VND each.Fund for the PoorIn the commune, one household received 5 million VND from the commune's Fatherland Front Committee fund, and another household received 60 million VND from the Yen Thanh Commune Association in the Southern provinces to build a house. These funds have contributed to helping families have more stable housing and improve their lives.

Driven by this spirit of sharing, in Quang Chau commune, 65 households have received livelihood support to help them stabilize their lives. To ensure these support programs reach those in need, the commune conducts surveys and evaluations openly and democratically in residential areas. Behind each gift is the mobilization and connection of social resources and the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune in caring for the poor, vulnerable, and those in difficult circumstances.

In Duc Chau commune, in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duc Chau commune recently presented 150 national flags to the villages of Van Xuan, Trung Thanh, and Hoa Thanh. This activity aims to awaken patriotism, national pride, and create a vibrant atmosphere of emulation among the people, as well as serving as a vivid symbol of solidarity. Immediately after receiving the flags, the villages mobilized residents to simultaneously display them at their homes and along the main roads, creating a lively atmosphere in anticipation of the great national holiday.
In each locality, emulation activities are implemented in various ways, but they all share the common goal of contributing to building a better homeland.

In particular, one of the outstanding activities of the youth of Nghe An province in commemoration of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd is responding to the 100-day campaign to address bottlenecks in digital transformation.
Over the past few days, more than 100 community-based digital technology teams of young people in Nghe An province have simultaneously launched their initiatives in many communes and wards. The core force consists of local police officers and youth union members, who directly go to each residential area to support people in accessing digital services. Following the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door," youth union members guide people in installing and activating level 2 VNeID electronic identity cards, integrating personal documents, and using online public services. For elderly people who are not yet proficient with smartphones, the digital volunteers patiently guide them through each step, from the very beginning.

Beyond simply helping people use digital platforms, the youth of Nghe An also directly participate in perfecting databases serving state management. These contributions further enhance the vibrant spirit of the youth in beneficial community-oriented projects and activities.
The memories of August are being continued through practical actions in today's life. So that the pride in the revolutionary autumn is not just remembered, not just a memory, but becomes a driving force for each person to contribute a simple yet meaningful part to the journey of building the homeland...
