Digging sewers along the roadside causes serious accidents
(Baonghean) -On the night of November 15, while traveling on National Highway 48B (through Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, Nghe An), Tran Van Tuan (17 years old, resident of Hamlet 7, Son Hai Commune) collapsed into a sewer under construction, causing a traumatic brain injury and waiting to die.
Arriving at the accident site on the afternoon of November 17, we were truly surprised at the construction method of Nghe An Road and Waterway Bridge Construction Joint Stock Company: along the entire road section of nearly 1 km, a drainage culvert (3 m wide and more than 1.5 m deep) was dug up and installed without any fence or warning sign for traffic participants.
The sewer sections under construction have no signs.
Victim Tran Van Tuan is lying at home, there is no possibility of saving his life.
Due to falling into the sewer, Tran Van Tuan (son of Mr. Tran Van Nghi and Mrs. Tran Thi Loan) suffered a traumatic brain injury. After taking Tuan to the 115 Nghe An Hospital for emergency treatment, the doctors transferred him to Nghe An General Hospital. However, the hospital also shook their heads and sent him home to wait for death.
Surprisingly, the family reported to Mr. Tho, the person in charge of the construction there, but Mr. Tho still ignored it, acting as if nothing had happened. Currently, the family is filing a petition to the authorities to review the responsibility of Nghe An Road and Waterway Bridge Construction Joint Stock Company in the above traffic accident.
