Digging well discovered giant fossil bones

(Baonghean.vn) -While digging a well to get water, Toan's family discovered a giant fossil skeleton.

On the morning of June 14, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan's family, residing in Hamlet 6, Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau, dug a well to get water. After digging about 4 meters, they encountered a white, very hard, rough mass. After examining it, Mr. Toan and everyone else discovered that it was a fossilized skeleton.

People were curious to see the skeleton lying at the bottom of the well.

The skeleton was located about 4 meters above the ground.

The well digging was stopped, everyone used hoes, shovels, and crowbars to dig the surrounding ground to check and measure the skeleton.



Some fossil bones were brought up from the well.

Each vertebra is about 30-35cm in diameter, about 30cm long, with partitions between the vertebrae. The fossilized skeleton is very hard, Mr. Toan and some people dug up some fan-shaped bone segments like fins attached to the vertebrae.

Currently, many local people are coming to Toan's house to see the fossil skeleton, some people think it is the bone of a whale, others insist it is the bone of a dinosaur,...

After discovering the strange skeleton, Mr. Toan reported it to the local authorities and contacted Nghe An Museum to send staff to inspect and clarify what kind of bone it was.
