Despite her height of 1.52m, this female player is somewhat at a disadvantage when competing with taller opponents, especially in aerial ball disputes. In return, Van Su is always agile, handles well and dribbles intelligently. In the semi-final match against the host team Cambodia, Van Su opened the score and helped the Vietnamese women's team have a resounding victory and earn a ticket to the final.

With his aggressive and technical playing style, Ho Van Cuong was chosen by coach Philippe Troussier for the position of full-back. Playing aggressively, fast and able to constantly change the direction of attack, Ho Van Cuong is considered a "tornado" on the right wing of U22 Vietnam.
In the Bronze Medal match for men's football, Ho Van Cuong was the author of 2 out of 3 goals of U22 Vietnam against U22 Myanmar.
