Join hands and contribute
In Mie, where there is the ancient Ise Shrine with a history of more than 1,000 years, where the Sun Goddess, the symbol of Japan and considered the source of Japanese strength and spirit, took place in the early days of this summer, a very important event took place: the expanded G7 Summit.
The Conference was attended by leaders of major powers and international organizations such as President of the United States of America Barack Obama, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of France Francois Holland, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon... Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was one of the few leaders of other countries invited to attend and speak at the Conference. Taking place in the context of slowing world economic growth, increasingly fierce geopolitical tensions and non-traditional security challenges... the Conference's agenda required the handling of a series of major issues.
Attending the G7 Summit for the first time in his new position, in his speech, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized the message: There can only be prosperity and development when there is peace and stability; unilateral actions that violate international law and regional agreements are seriously threatening peace and stability in the region...
