Summer marks of Dien Chau youth

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 22, Dien Chau District Youth Union held a summary of the summer youth campaign and commended the "Strong Youth Union" in 2016.

With many innovations in leadership, focused implementation content, closely following the actual situation in the locality, the 2016 summer volunteer campaign in Dien Chau achieved positive results, and was commended by Nghe An Provincial Youth Union. All 6 targets and 5 programs and campaigns set out in the summer volunteer campaign were implemented beyond the plan.

The whole district has carried out 65 youth projects and 280 youth tasks. Typical in the new rural construction movement, the union members in the communes have built 16.5 km of new rural roads and dredged 25.8 km of canals to prevent flooding for crops during the rainy season.

Dien Ky commune delegation deployed 40 tons of water hyacinth in 1.2km of intra-field canals, helping to drain water for more than 30 hectares of rice fields in the commune.

Environmental sanitation activities are regularly held on volunteer green Saturdays and Sundays. Through this, 55 tons of garbage were collected and treated, ensuring green and clean beauty on 178 streets. More than 60 warning signs of drowning were installed. The Team's ceremonial review on the occasion of National Day was organized with more than 20,000 team members participating.

At the conference, the District People's Committee and Dien Chau District Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 15 groups and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2016 summer volunteer campaign, and also rewarded 9 outstanding strong Youth Unions.

In addition, building strong youth union branches with criteria such as improving the quality of activities, proposing effective action programs, having no members violating the law... In the first 6 months of 2016, the number of strong youth union branches reached 297/556, accounting for 53%.
