Hoa Sen Group's mark

(Baonghean) - One of the highlights of the 10-year cooperation anniversary between Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City is the decision of Hoa Sen Group to invest in a project at Nam Cam Industrial Park. On October 4, 2014, the project officially started and it is expected that the production line will start operating at the end of March 2015.

After 14 years of operation, Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company has made remarkable progress. In 2014, besides continuing to be the leading exporter of steel sheets in Southeast Asia, Hoa Sen Group maintained its position as the number 1 steel sheet manufacturing and trading enterprise in Vietnam with a 36.9% market share of steel sheets and 18.2% market share of steel pipes (According to statistics of the first 11 months of 2014 of the Vietnam Steel Association).

In the 2013 - 2014 fiscal year, the output and revenue targets of Hoa Sen Group exceeded the set plan and continued to maintain good growth compared to previous years. The output of finished products consumed in the 2013 - 2014 fiscal year reached 810,226 tons, exceeding the plan by 16%. Net revenue reached 14,990 billion VND, equivalent to 107% of the set plan, profit after tax reached 410 billion VND. The distribution - retail branch system is an indispensable link in implementing the strategy of "buying at the source, selling at the end" of Hoa Sen Group. With centralized and unified management according to common policies, the nationwide distribution and retail branch system has become a great advantage of Hoa Sen Group, helping the Group to directly approach consumers, strictly control product quality and quickly bring products to the market.

As of December 31, 2014, the total number of retail distribution branches of Hoa Sen Group has reached 150 branches along with 5 warehouses nationwide. In 2015, the group will establish 50 more branches and aims to increase the total number of branches to about 300 branches nationwide by the end of 2017. With that solid foundation, Hoa Sen Group is gradually affirming its stature as a dynamic Vietnamese enterprise in economic integration, affirming the Vietnamese brand of international standards. By the end of 2014, the export revenue of Hoa Sen Group reached nearly 300 million USD and has expanded the export market of corrugated iron and steel products to more than 52 countries around the world.

More than 1 year after the first working visit of Nghe An province leaders to Hoa Sen Group (August 2013). Hoa Sen Nghe An Steel Plant Project was officially started on October 4, 2014. This is one of the key projects of Hoa Sen Group on an area of ​​12 hectares, in Nam Cam Industrial Park.

The project includes 4 phases starting from September 2014 and is expected to be completed in August 2018 with a total fixed capital of more than VND 2,360 billion, including: 12 steel pipe production lines with a total designed capacity of 100,000 tons/year; strip slitting line with color coated steel production line with a designed capacity of 100,000 tons/year; galvanized steel/aluminum zinc alloy production line with a total designed capacity of 400,000 tons/year; cold rolling line with a total designed capacity of 400,000 tons/year; acid regeneration line with a designed capacity of 3,000 liters/hour; rust pickling line with a designed capacity of 400,000 tons/year; high-tech steel roller grinding machine with a designed capacity of 24 rollers/day.

It is expected that the Hoa Sen Nghe An Steel Sheet Factory project will complete all 4 phases by August 2018. When the factory comes into operation, it will create jobs and income for hundreds of workers, contributing significantly to the local budget. When the Hoa Sen Nghe An Steel Sheet Factory comes into operation, it will improve the production capacity and ability to supply steel and corrugated iron products of the group, especially meeting market demand, while increasing export output to Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.

Hoa Sen Nghe An Steel Plant Project is expected to complete phase 1 in March 2015, putting the first 6 steel pipe lines into operation. At the same time, continue to implement phase 2 (from 4 - 9/2015) with a total estimated investment capital of more than 538 billion VND, including 6 steel pipe lines with a designed capacity of 50,000 tons/year and 1 strip slitting machine with a designed capacity of 100,000 tons/year. Currently, the unit is making efforts to invest in construction to complete the project on schedule.
