Vice President and General Secretary of VTF Nguyen Quoc Ky said: “It is very important to ensure that the field meets ITF standards, if we do not want to be relegated like Pakistan last year. Therefore, we have to build a new field with the most beautiful and best surface in Vietnam at the moment. This is also the only tennis court in Vietnam that meets the latest ITF regulations.”

Vietnam's main tennis player Nguyen Hoang Thien said: "Playing on this court is different from the common courts in Vietnam. The court surface is rougher and softer, so the ball bounces slower and higher than usual. Thanks to the standard court, the ball bounces quite well in all positions on the court, the ball's trajectory does not change because the court surface is not flat, so the players' judgment is also better." The court surface was constructed by the American company Seara - specializing in providing materials for tennis courts for many major tournaments such as the US Open and Australian Open. Mr. Timothy Michael Bennett, Director of Seara Company, said: "We had to import all the materials for the court surface from the US. More than 20 of our experienced experts were mobilized from the headquarters in Thailand to Vietnam and worked hard for a month to complete it."

The raw materials for the court surface are only the bottom asphalt layer, which is sourced from Vietnam. The rest must be imported from the US, including mesh fabric, glue, silicon sand, surface paint... In particular, silicon sand is a raw material that has never been found in Vietnam.
