Promoting administrative reform to serve people and businesses

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of November 14, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the launching ceremony of "Cadres, civil servants and public employees actively participate in administrative reform, improve service quality for people and businesses".

The launching ceremony was organized by the Department of Home Affairs in coordination with the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial Youth Union with the participation of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, central units located in the area and districts, cities, and towns.

This activity aims to enhance the role and responsibility of officials, civil servants and public employees in agencies and offices to promote administrative reform in a quick, effective, friendly and polite manner towards people, organizations and businesses in the process of handling administrative procedures.

Accordingly, in the period from 2013 to 2015, the units will strengthen the inspection of administrative reform in units and offices; advise the Provincial People's Committee to have assessments and direct the effective implementation of administrative reform throughout the province. This is also one of the steps to concretize Decision No. 3445/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on the plan to implement the campaign "Cadres, civil servants and public employees in Nghe An province actively participate in administrative reform, improve the quality of service to people, organizations and businesses".

Overview of the launching ceremony

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized the importance of administrative reform, especially in the period of promoting socio-economic development, implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo, making Nghe An a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2015. Each unit and office must identify administrative reform as the driving force for development and the head of the agency or unit must be responsible for the effectiveness as well as the shortcomings of this work.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that units and agencies from the province to the commune level must constantly innovate the manners and attitudes of cadres, civil servants and public employees in serving the people, organizations and businesses. This work will be monitored, inspected, rewarded and handled by the province according to Directive No. 10/2013 of the Provincial People's Committee on continuing to strengthen discipline and administrative discipline in agencies and units in the province.
