Authorized by the Minister of National Defense, Lieutenant General Nguyen Vinh Phu, Director of the General Department of Logistics chaired the conference. In Nghe An, there were the participation of the Head, officers and staff of the logistics sector of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command. In the first six months of 2014, officers and employees of the Army Logistics sector have made great efforts and completed their tasks well, typically: Timely ensuring and transporting logistics for forces on duty to enforce the law, fight against China's illegal placement of the Haiyang 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's waters, for units on duty at the border and on islands... Ensuring good logistics facilities for storm and flood prevention, search and rescue missions. Maintaining correct and sufficient standards of national defense logistics reserves, responding to situations that arise. In the context of rising prices, the movement to increase production of the army has been promoted, typically the "V-A-C" model at the battalion level, the model of concentrated livestock areas at the regimental level. Ensuring correct and sufficient military uniforms, especially increasing cold-proof clothing for officers and soldiers in areas with severe cold. Effectively manage and use national defense land, gradually eliminate seriously degraded level 4 houses throughout the army. The program "Combined military and civilian medicine" effectively promotes medical examination and treatment for people, ethnic minorities in remote, border, and island areas...

The conference also pointed out the limitations that need to be focused on overcoming, the direction and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2014. Focus on researching methods and models of transportation, ensuring logistics, logistics reserve models (food, provisions, meals, military uniforms, gasoline, housing, etc.) for units on duty in Truong Sa, DK1 Platform, special units such as the Navy, Air Force, Border Guard, Coast Guard, Frogmen, Special Forces, Submarines, Forces on duty to maintain international peace... to always fulfill political tasks well, especially in responding to situations that arise.

Over the past years, the Logistics Department of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has made great efforts, always completing well the task of ensuring logistics for the provincial armed forces to complete their training and combat readiness tasks, especially ensuring logistics for units on the western border, the Martyrs' Grave Gathering Team on duty in Laos, Mat Island, Ngu Island... In 2013, the Provincial Military Command won first prize in the Military Region-level Petroleum Depot Competition, the Logistics Department won the title of Determined-to-Win Unit. In the first six months of 2014, the Logistics Department continued to lead the competition in 6 provinces under Military Region 4, winning high prizes at the 2014 District, Town, City, Military School, Regiment Logistics Manager Competition organized by the Military Region...
