Promote the implementation of new regulations on lawyer training at local levels
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. Dang Kim Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Judicial Support, Ministry of Justice emphasized that in the coming time, it is necessary to promote the implementation of new regulations on inspection, examination and handling of violations in lawyer training at the local level.
On the morning of August 29, the Department of Justice coordinated with the Department of Judicial Assistance, Ministry of Justice to organize a Conference to disseminate the contents of Decree No. 137/2018/ND-CP dated October 8, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing Decree No. 123/2013/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Lawyers, Circular No. 02/2019/TT-BTP of the Ministry of Justice stipulating the obligation to participate in compulsory professional and technical activities of lawyers and Decree No. 22/2017/ND-CP of the Government on commercial mediation.
Ms. Dang Kim Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Judicial Support conveyed the contents at the conference. Attending were representatives of a number of relevant provincial and district departments, branches and sectors; representatives of law practice organizations in the province.

The conference disseminated new regulations, amended and supplemented laws on lawyers' activities and commercial dispute resolution.
The practice of lawyers in recent times has basically met a part of the need for legal assistance of individuals and organizations, making an important contribution to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of suspects, defendants and other parties; contributing to legal reform, judicial reform and international integration, creating a favorable and trustworthy environment for investment and trade activities.

The socio-professional organization of lawyers also performs well the work of representing and protecting the rights of lawyers, promptly making recommendations to relevant agencies and organizations to facilitate the activities of lawyers; actively participating in disseminating legal education, providing legal aid, and consulting on the settlement of complaints and denunciations at the central and local levels.
Decree 137/2018/ND-CP focuses on the basic contents of amending and supplementing regulations on improving the quality of the team of lawyers, on exemption from lawyer training, exemption from and reduction of lawyer internship time; regulations on organizing congresses of socio-professional organizations; procedures for removing titles of socio-professional organizations; amending and supplementing procedures for revoking the certificate of practicing law.
Regarding the Decree on commercial mediation, the conference conveyed basic contents on the scope of regulation and applicable subjects; scope, policies and conditions on dispute resolution by commercial mediation...
Delegates attending the conference also discussed, exchanged and had their concerns answered regarding the contents conveyed at the conference, especially the newly amended and supplemented regulations. Ms. Dang Kim Hoa also affirmed that regularly grasping and updating new knowledge and regulations of the law is a necessary and mandatory activity, especially for the team of lawyers and those who practice law.
In the coming time, the Department of Judicial Assistance will further promote this activity to gradually contribute to improving the quality of professional activities of the team of lawyers, in which the Deputy Director of the Department of Judicial Assistance will pay attention to the implementation of new regulations on inspection, examination and handling of violations in lawyer training at the local level.
