Ms. Vi Thi Oanh in Lau village said: "The weather is currently very favorable for spring forest planting. My family has registered to plant 1,500 xoan and acacia trees; has dug over 700 holes and planted over 100 xoan trees. The main purpose is to plant xoan scattered, taking advantage of intercropping in bare lands on the edges of hills and along streams. The family is proactively funding to buy seeds and fertilizers for forest planting, and we hope the State will support funding so that people can plant forests more effectively."

This spring crop, the commune planted over 100 hectares of xoan and hybrid acacia concentrated in Lau, Thach Duong, Phong, Mon, Me villages... On the 4th and 5th of Tet, people actively dug holes under the direction of technical staff. Up to this point, Thach Giam has dug over 60% of the holes, the seedlings are mainly purchased at Tuong Duong Forestry Company. Tuong Duong District People's Committee has announced to support Thach Giam with 76 million VND for forest planting. With this amount of money, in addition to planting a scattered area of 100 hectares, the commune continues to mobilize people to expand the scattered planting area in other areas with difficult terrain. In particular, it supports people to expand the planting area along Lam River and the Xam, Ngoa, and Cuc streams...

Mainly planting scattered trees to cover the bare hills in the communes of Thach Giam, Xa Luong, Nga My, Xieng My, Yen Na, Yen Hoa ... Forest planting work in Tuong Duong has been paid attention to by all levels and sectors. Each commune has 3 district officials "stationed" at the base to supervise, direct and provide technical guidance. In addition to the issue of implementing the forest planting planning well, Tuong Duong also focuses on the quality of seedlings. Mainly, many communes choose xoan trees because the output is easy to consume and has economic value. At this time, the communes are mobilizing forces, actively digging holes to plant forests in the spring, having dug holes in nearly 100 hectares. Tuong Duong also mobilizes people to follow the motto "take the forest, nurture the forest", which means intercropping raw materials with other crops such as cassava, taro, etc. Regarding the funding for forest planting, which is not yet supported, the district encourages people to invest in forest planting first and receive support from the State later. At the same time, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district allocated 1.3 billion VND to support forest planting for 17 communes.
Quy Chau district has also actively implemented spring forest planting right from the Lunar New Year, the communes of Chau Binh, Chau Hoi, Chau Tien and Quy Chau Forestry ... have planted over 120 hectares of hybrid acacia. It is known that this year Quy Chau planted over 1,000 hectares and 320,000 scattered trees, this spring season alone Quy Chau will try to complete planting scattered trees and over 400 hectares of spring forest. The current difficulty is that most people are proactively sourcing capital to plant forests because there is no support capital from programs and projects.
It is known that the province's forest planting plan this year is over 15,000 hectares, of which over 60% will be planted in the spring crop. State support for forest planting accounts for about 40%, the rest comes from the people and businesses. At this time, most localities in the province are actively planting forests such as Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son, Thanh Chuong... Determined to compete with favorable weather in early spring to plant forests and finish planting forests in the spring crop in April 2013.
