In contrast to the 2-2 draw in round 30 of La Liga, Barca completely dominated Sevilla in the final on the evening of April 21. Coach Ernesto Valverde's team not only coordinated smoothly with high precision, but also created a series of opportunities in front of goalkeeper David Soria's goal.
Thanks to their superior playing style, Barca quickly opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Coutinho was the player who crossed the ball down the right wing, and Luis Suarez scored with a simple tap-in into the goal.

Not complacent after the first goal, Barca continued to besiege Sevilla's goal. Messi had a shot that bounced off the opponent's defender's leg, while Iniesta's shot from outside the box hit the crossbar.
With the advantage on the pitch, Barca fans did not have to wait too long to see the second goal. In the 31st minute, from a backheel pass from Jordi Alba, Messi shot diagonally to double the gap.
Not only scoring for Barca, M10 also continued to shine as an assist player. In the 40th minute, the Argentine star passed the ball to Luis Suarez who ran down and shot directly at Soria, raising the score to 3-0.

Sevilla only had a few responses but none were successful. The most notable situation of the Andalusian team was the cross that cut across Barca's 5m50 area.
Not stopping at 3-0, Barca continued to dominate after the break. Disoriented by the opponent's precise coordination, Sevilla once again made a mistake and conceded a goal. From Messi's through ball in the 52nd minute, Iniesta escaped, dribbled past goalkeeper Soria and shot into the goal, raising the score to 4-0.
Not satisfied, Barca continued to attack and scored the fifth goal in the 69th minute. From the situation where Luis Suarez's backheel caused the ball to hit the hand of a Sevilla defender, even though Coutinho kicked the ball into the goal, the referee decided to award a penalty to Barca. Coutinho was the one who accurately took the kick from the 11m mark to seal the 5-0 victory.
