Real Madrid dramatic win

The match between Real Madrid and Leganes in round 29 of La Liga ended with a score of 3-2 in favor of the home team. Los Blancos are temporarily equal on points with Barca but have played 1 more match.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti decided to rotate his squad, leaving South American stars Fede Valverde, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes on the bench. He also gave Arda Guler a starting spot.

The hosts made a dominant start and opened the scoring after 32 minutes when Mbappe calmly converted a penalty, after Leganes' Óscar Rodríguez had fouled Arda Guler in the box.

However, Leganes responded almost immediately when Diego Garcia equalized just 1 minute later. In the 41st minute, Oscar Rodriguez assisted Dani Raba to score to put Leganes up 2-1. This was also the score of the first half.

Jude Bellingham equalised just two minutes after the break. And in the 76th minute, Mbappe scored the second and decisive goal with a stunning free-kick.

Jurgen Klopp ready to return to coaching career

Jurgen Klopp is set to make a managerial comeback, less than a year after leaving Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season, with three clubs looking to appoint him, including one unlikely option.

Feeling drained, Klopp resigned as Liverpool manager after nine successful years and had an emotional farewell at Anfield. After a break, Klopp agreed to take up the position of Global Head of Football at Red Bull.

But while Klopp has always said he is in no rush to return to management, reports suggest otherwise. According to TBR Football, there are three potential jobs that could interest Klopp in the near future.

Journalist Graeme Bailey claims Klopp's name is being discussed by Real Madrid as Carlo Ancelotti looks set to leave at the end of the season.

In another development, Klopp is also a candidate for the job of coach of the Brazilian national team. And finally, the job of coach of the US national team is still waiting for Klopp even though Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed.

Amidst all the chaos, one thing is certain. Klopp has said that because of his love for Liverpool, he will not take over another Premier League club.

The prospect of Ronaldo facing Messi at the Club World Cup

The Portuguese superstar could compete in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, even if Al Nassr are not eligible to participate.

Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr expires on June 30, right in the middle of the Club World Cup. However, new transfer regulations could open up the opportunity for the Portuguese superstar to compete in the tournament.

Specifically, according to the new regulations, teams participating in the tournament will be allowed to sign contracts and register new players between June 1 and 10. This means that if an agreement is reached with Ronaldo or Al Nassr, any club can register CR7 to play in the tournament. Both sides can sign a short-term contract within just one month to compete in the Club World Cup.

The tournament features some of the world's top clubs, including Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan. Real Madrid, where Ronaldo spent nine years, will also be in attendance. Signing Ronaldo on a short-term basis is not a bad idea if any club wants to reduce the playing time of their key players.

Lionel Messi's Inter Miami will also be competing as the host nation. If Ronaldo can join a club in the tournament, fans will get to see the two football legends face off once again.

With the Club World Cup taking place every four years, this could be Ronaldo's last chance to play in a major international tournament before he retires. Now 40, CR7 still has ambitions to play in the 2026 World Cup with Portugal.

For clubs not participating in this summer's Club World Cup, the transfer window will open on June 16 and close on September 1.
