Golden Globes 2015 Nominations: Many Big Names Ignored

On the evening of December 11, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles (USA), actors Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Paula Patton and Jeremy Piven announced the 2015 Golden Globe nominations.

Leading the nominations this year are Birdman (7 nominations), Boyhood and The Imitation Game (5 nominations each). These films all received nominations in major categories such as Best Drama, Best Comedy/Musical, and awards for directing and acting.

Meanwhile, films that caused a stir and attention such as Interstellar, Unbroken (directed by Angelina Jolie) or Gone Girl were ignored by the Golden Globes.

The Golden Globe Awards are organized by the Hollywood International Press Association (HFPA) and are voted on by journalists. This year, secret ballots will be sent to the organizing committee by journalists on December 22.

The 2015 Golden Globe Awards took place on January 11, broadcast live on NBC. Hosted by the familiar MC duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
