Forest ranger loses job for losing forest
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province announced that it has just issued a disciplinary decision to remove Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Head of the Chu Prong District Forest Ranger Department from his position.
It is known that Mr. Cuong did not complete the assigned tasks, recently allowing many illegal logging incidents to occur in Chu Prong district but there were no effective measures to prevent them.
In addition, the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province held a meeting and agreed to disciplinary action to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Lac - Head of Ia Mor Protective Forest Management Board (Chu Prong district) due to violations related to forest protection management.
The disciplinary advisory council is proposing that the Provincial People's Committee issue a decision to discipline Mr. Lac in the near future.
