Proposal not to reappoint Deputy Minister Cao Minh Quang

The majority of members of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health unanimously proposed not to reappoint Deputy Minister Cao Minh Quang due to violations.

The Party Committee of the Ministry of Health recently held a meeting regarding administrative disciplinary action against Deputy Minister of Health Cao Minh Quang. At the meeting, the majority of opinions agreed to recommend not reappointing Mr. Quang to the position of Deputy Minister.



The majority of members of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Health proposed not to reappoint Deputy Minister Cao Minh Quang.

Mr. Cao Minh Quang was appointed Deputy Minister of Health in February 2008, for a 4-year term.


Previously, last May, the Ministry of Health held a meeting to review and consider administrative disciplinary measures against Deputy Minister Cao Minh Quang. Among the 8 members eligible to vote on the proposed disciplinary measure, 1 abstained, 2 voted for reprimand, and the remaining 5/8 voted for warning.

In February 2012, the Party Committee of the Department of Drug Administration, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health, and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health conducted a Party review of Mr. Cao Minh Quang.


The Party member and civil servant censures against Mr. Quang were carried out after the Central Inspection Committee determined that Mr. Quang had shortcomings, was dishonest about his qualifications, borrowed money from businesses under his control, and made inaccurate and careless statements and reports about a number of incidents at the Ministry of Health.


At the end of 2011, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Cao Minh Quang with a Party warning.
