Requesting an Australian company to stop circulating items with the image of the 'yellow flag'
An Australian company has been distributing items with the image of the "yellow flag" - the flag of a regime that no longer exists. Vietnam has discussed with Australia, proposing to stop the circulation of these items.
On the morning of May 4, in response to a reporter's question asking about Vietnam's reaction to some items issued in Australia with the image of the "yellow flag", Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said: "We regret and resolutely oppose the Royal Australia Mint and Australia Post issuing items with the image of the 'yellow flag', the flag of a regime that no longer exists."

The deputy spokesperson affirmed that this is completely inconsistent with the positive development trend of the Vietnam - Australia Strategic Partnership.
"We have discussed this with Australia, requesting that these items be stopped from circulating and that similar incidents not happen in the future," Ms. Hang informed.
