Proposal to prosecute the director of a "ghost" company for illegally trading invoices

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 25, Vinh City Police said that, based on Article 163 of the Criminal Procedure Code, on August 20, 2014, Vinh City Police Investigation Agency transferred the case file and investigation conclusion to Vinh City People's Procuracy to propose prosecuting Tran Quang Phien - the person who used a fake ID card under the name Tran Duc Chinh to establish Tan Ben Thuy Construction and Trade Company Limited.

According to the conclusion of the Vinh City Police Investigation Agency, after establishing the "ghost" company, Tran Quang Phien printed VAT invoices to sell for illegal profits. The total number of invoices sold was particularly large (268 numbers), causing a loss of VND 3,776,083,199 in VAT to the State. Tran Quang Phien's actions violated the crime of "Illegal trading of invoices and documents for payment to the State budget" stipulated in Article 164a - Penal Code, which must be strictly handled.
