Geography exam questions are close to knowledge, no cheat sheets

(Baonghean.vn) - That is the assessment and comment of the inspection teams at the Provincial Examination Council of Anh Son and Tan Ky districts in the Geography exam this morning, June 3. In the Geography exam, candidates will take the essay test.

Following the Department's mobile inspection team to inspect 4 examination councils in Anh Son and Tan Ky, the examination councils did not have any cases of candidates bringing cheat sheets into the examination room. Mr. Tran Duy Hung, Chairman of the Examination Council of Tan Ky I High School, said: "For this exam, students are allowed to bring atlases into the examination room to prevent students from using pencils or pens that have run out of ink to write on atlases as camouflage. Before entering the examination room, the invigilators are responsible for carefully checking each atlas and resolutely confiscating any that show signs of violation. Therefore, during the entire examination, no student brought any documents into the room."



Candidates do the test seriously

At the examination council of Anh Son 3 High School, to prevent students from cheating, all desk drawers were removed so that "students would have no place to hide their documents". Notably, right before distributing the exam papers, the invigilators and exam service team called on students to hand in their documents, school bags, and personal belongings and collected them to bring to the security room for sealing. Therefore, the exam room and hallway were completely "clean".

The Geography exam was assessed by the students as being within their ability, with average academic ability they could get a score of 6 or 7. Nguyen Van The, a candidate from Tan Ky I High School, said: “I study in group B (Math, Chemistry, Biology). Before taking this exam, I was a bit worried, but when I read the exam questions, I found them quite close to the knowledge I had learned, and getting a score of 7 was not difficult. The exam room discipline was strict, the invigilators did not let candidates cheat and no candidates were allowed to bring documents into the exam room.”

At the examination councils, the suspension of 8 invigilators and 4 candidates at the examination council of Tuong Duong I Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities has had a positive impact on the spirit and working attitude of the examination staff, especially the invigilators.

“As a teacher, I want my students to study hard. If I let them down during the exam and let them open their documents, it would be dangerous. Only when we take the exam can we expect them to study hard. If we let them relax, it will create bad public opinion and affect the learning spirit of students in the following courses. Therefore, the invigilators must be very serious about the exam,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Noi, invigilator at the Anh Son II Examination Council.
