Proposal to convert 750 hectares of land planned for Becamex Industrial Park project

(Baonghean.vn)- One of the important contents of the working session between the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is the province's request to convert 750 hectares of land in the planning area of ​​the Becamex Binh Duong industrial and service park project.

During the visit and working program in Nghe An province, on August 22, the working delegation led by comrade Nguyen Minh Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment worked with the Provincial People's Committee on state management of natural resources and environment in the first 6 months of 2014, and the plan for the last 6 months of 2014.

At the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee reported to the working delegation on the socio-economic situation of Nghe An in the first 6 months of 2014 as well as the management of natural resources and environment in the past time. In the first 6 months of the year, the GDP growth rate of Nghe An reached 6.37%, higher than the same period. In which, the agriculture, forestry, fishery, industry - construction and service sectors all grew quite well. The province has granted investment certificates to 34 projects with a total investment of more than 9,691 billion VND. In the fields of culture and society, the province continues to achieve many high achievements in national and international competitions for excellent students, etc. Security, social order and safety are maintained.

In the field of natural resources and environment, Nghe An has completed the provincial land use planning and reviewed all types of sectoral and field planning, as a basis for management and investment in socio-economic development. In 2013, the province issued 132,535 first-time land use right certificates to people, bringing the total number of first-time certificates to nearly 1.3 million, exceeding the target assigned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. As a locality with a large number of mountainous provinces and harsh climate, funding for Nghe An to effectively carry out its environmental resources tasks is facing many difficulties. In addition, the number of environmental pollution points that need to be treated is very large, especially those polluted by residual pesticides. Therefore, Nghe An requests the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment to continue consulting with relevant agencies to support Nghe An with funding for project implementation and treatment of pollution points; requests the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to soon issue specific guiding circulars to implement the auction of land use rights, auction of mineral exploitation rights, etc.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the People's Committee thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for their attention to the economic and social development of Nghe An, especially in areas such as land management and environmental resources. In particular, Nghe An hopes that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will agree in principle and advise the Prime Minister to adjust 750 hectares of land in the planning area of ​​​​the Becamex industrial and service park project into the provincial land use planning and plan.
