Proposal to build 6 medical stations of Nam Dan district into model points to enhance medical capacity
(Baonghean.vn) - 6 commune health stations in Nam Dan district were selected to be built as pilot models for strengthening grassroots health capacity: Kim Lien, Khanh Son, Nam Loc, Nam Cat, Nam Thai and Van Dien.
On the afternoon of April 18, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the Draft Project "Implementing a pilot model to strengthen grassroots health capacity at 6 commune health stations in Nam Dan district, period 2018-2020".

The project "Implementing a pilot model to strengthen grassroots health capacity at 6 commune health stations in Nam Dan district, phase 2018 - 2020" was built as a concrete step to realize Resolution No. 20, 6th Conference, 12th Central Executive Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation.
The selection of 6 communes of Nam Dan district is also consistent with the criteria issued under the Ministry of Health's Guidelines on implementing pilot models at 26 commune health stations, period 2018 - 2020.
The project aims to improve the capacity of preventive medicine, medical examination and treatment, people's health management, population and food safety according to the principles of family medicine in 6 communes. From there, it will create a basis for replicating the model throughout the province.
The estimated budget for the project is over 4.2 billion VND. The 6 commune health stations selected for construction are Kim Lien, Khanh Son, Nam Loc, Nam Cat, Nam Thai and Van Dien.

The project has set out stages with specific goals:
- By 2018, staff working at 6 commune health stations will be trained and professionally trained according to the principles of family medicine.
- 100% of medical stations within the scope of the project deploy health management software, in which 90% of people have their health records created.
-By the end of 2019, 6 health stations were trained to improve their capacity in preventive medicine, population and food safety, and to prevent, manage and treat a number of non-communicable diseases.
- By 2020, over 90% of people in the above 6 communes will have their health managed and all 6 communes will maintain national health standards.
- Increase the implementation level of technical categories from the current 40% to 80% after the project is completed...

At the meeting, the Project received comments from the sectors. Concluding the meeting, Mr. Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts and creativity of the health sector. Although not among the provinces selected by the Ministry of Health as a pilot, the sector has proactively developed a project to propose and implement according to Decision 2348 of the Prime Minister on approving the project to build and develop the grassroots health network in the new situation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The better the grassroots healthcare system is, the more benefits people will get. The project needs the support and active participation of all relevant departments, sectors and localities.
To complete the project, the industry needs to continue to seek opinions from relevant levels and sectors as well as the Ministry of Health; at the same time, the training and education categories need to be implemented in accordance with and closely follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health./.
