Tuan Hung's music night was abruptly stopped, authorities spoke up
Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports To Van Dong said that the Department did not know about Tuan Hung's concert being canceled. Previously, Ba Dinh District Police also issued an official dispatch regarding this incident.
On the evening of October 5, just 2 hours before the performance, the concert celebrating Tuan Hung's 20th year of singing with the theme "Wild Horse" was suddenly stopped for "special reasons".
Sharing about this issue, Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports To Van Dong said: "We have sent our colleagues to the area. They have reported to the organizing unit and have a proper contract. Since the unfortunate incident at the music night at West Lake, the Department has asked our colleagues to strictly follow the related procedures. Currently, we still do not know the reason for the stop," Mr. To Van Dong shared.
The Director of the Department of Culture and Information said that Tuan Hung's music night requested a license from the Department of Culture, in principle, the Department will decide to stop the license for these music nights. However, if for a very special reason, the Ba Dinh District People's Committee can request a stop, but before requesting, the Department must be notified.
"I support stopping the program if it is for a very special reason, but the Department must still be notified. But we currently do not know what that special reason is and have not been notified," said Mr. To Van Dong.

Regarding the suspension of the show, Ba Dinh District Police issued Official Dispatch No. 1829/CV-CABD to notify about ensuring security, order and safety for the music program at Quan Ngua Sports Complex.
"Thang Long Media Event Organization Joint Stock Company (the event organizer) and Ba Dinh Sports Information and Culture Center have not yet sent a plan to ensure security, order and safety for the music program at Quan Ngua Sports Complex to Ba Dinh District Police.
Ba Dinh District Police inspected the fire safety work and the security and order assurance for the music program at Quan Ngua Sports Complex at 9:00 a.m. on October 5. They noted that the location at Quan Ngua Sports Complex had not been inspected for fire prevention and fighting according to regulations. The fire prevention and fighting system installed at the construction site did not operate according to its designed functions.
Ba Dinh District Police have proactively developed a plan to arrange the Fire Police, Ward Police and professional teams of the district police to participate in ensuring security, order and safety for the program.
However, to ensure security and order, fire safety, Ba Dinh District Police have proposed to temporarily suspend the music program celebrating 20 years of singing of singer Tuan Hung, which was held from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on October 5 at Quan Ngua Sports Complex" - Ba Dinh District Police's official dispatch stated.
