The charity gala "Passionate Kiss at Moulin Rouge" raised more than 3 billion VND to fund surgeries for children with congenital disabilities or accident consequences.

The party gathered nearly 300 guests including businessmen, leaders of large enterprises, artists such as: movie actors Kim Khanh, Hien Mai, models Oanh Di, Thanh Hoai, Kim Cuong... along with the presence of media units such as: Thanh Nien, World of Culture, HTV2...

Held for the second time in Ho Chi Minh City, the party brought guests Can-Can dances, many delicious dishes... The program also had auction items to raise funds to support children, including: three paintings of Ho Chi Minh City by French photographer Alexandre Garel, an oil painting of Mui Ne sea and sky by artist To Minh, and an ao dai decorated with more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals by designer Sy Hoang. All of these auction items brought in more than 100 million VND for the charity fund. In particular, Sy Hoang's ao dai was auctioned for 70 million VND.

During the party, the representative of Eximbank pledged to support the charity fund Raising Children with 2 billion VND. Eximbank is also the highest sponsor in this year's Moulin Rouge event and received a special gift sponsored by Turkish Airlines, which is a pair of round-trip tickets from Ho Chi Minh City toParisbusiness class

In addition, the charity fund has also received many cash contributions from other benefactors such as: FV Hospital (110 million VND); Mylan Group (110 million VND); Thanh Nien Media Group (110 million VND); Vinasun (190 million VND); Phuoc Thinh Textile Company (2,000 USD and 40,000,000 VND); Phuong Nam Bank (50 million VND); Mi Gau Do (42 million VND); Ba Con Co Company (42 million VND), Lavie (42 million VND)...

In addition, the program also received in-kind support from the Sheraton Hotel,EyewearPlaza(belonging to AR Group), Alibi restaurant... The total amount of money collected from ticket sales, sponsorships, auctions and donations from guests at the party was more than 3.1 billion VND. All of this money will be used for surgery for poor children with congenital disabilities or accident consequences.

Journalist Nguyen Cong Khe - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Thanh Nien Media Group - one of the co-founders of the Children's Step Up charity fund, said: "Since its establishment in 2006, the Children's Step Up fund has sponsored surgeries for more than 131 children with a total cost of up to 2.3 billion VND. The average treatment cost for each child ranges from 40 million VND to more than 300 million VND. In 2011 alone, the fund sponsored surgeries for 31 children in difficult circumstances.


Dr. Jean-Marcel Guillon - CEO of FV Hospital and Co-Vice President of the Fund, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thu - Director of Marketing & Business Development and President of the Fund, answered press interviews at the gala.

It is expected that this year, with funding raised from businesses and philanthropists, the fund will organize medical examination and treatment trips and provide free medicine in poor provinces, as well as sponsor surgeries for children in difficult circumstances.
