The Government has just approved the Master Plan for the hazardous medical solid waste treatment system until 2025.
Accordingly, by 2015, 100% of hazardous medical solid waste at medical facilities will be collected, classified and transported to treatment facilities, of which 70% of hazardous medical solid waste will be treated to ensure environmental standards. By 2025, 100% of hazardous medical solid waste at medical facilities will be collected, transported and treated to ensure environmental standards.
According to this plan, hazardous medical solid waste treatment technology includes incineration and non-incineration technology. 3 hazardous medical solid waste treatment models include centralized treatment model, hospital cluster treatment model, and treatment model at medical facilities.
