Built during the Le Trung Hung period, located in Dien Co hamlet, Dong Chu village, Thuong Xa commune, Chan Loc district (now in hamlet 14, Nghi Truong commune, Nghi Loc district), Dien Co temple is a place to worship gods and historical figures who have made great contributions to the people and the country, and are respected and admired by the people, such as: Cao Son, Cao Cac, Tam Toa Thanh Mau, Duc Thanh Tran, Thai Su Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi.
During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, many important events took place here and became a secret meeting place to discuss the action plans of Nghi Loc District Party Committee, aiming to advance the revolutionary movement.

Over hundreds of years, Dien Co Temple has become a cultural work imbued with national identity, a place for spiritual and cultural activities of the people in the region. The temple still preserves 7 royal decrees with high value in terms of history, language, and place names...
Due to historical changes, war bombs, and natural disasters, Dien Co temple was seriously degraded. In 2012, with the consensus of authorities at all levels and contributions from philanthropists, people in the commune as well as tourists from all over, Dien Co temple was restored on the old foundation with a large scale.has a campus of more than 5000m22, including the following works: upper temple, middle temple, lower temple, three-entrance gate, temple yard, open-air yard...with a total investment of more than 30 billion VND.
This is one of the largest relics of Nghi Loc district in particular and Nghe An province in general.From the 19th to the 22nd of the first lunar month every year, the temple is the place to hold many festival activities, attracting a large number of people to participate.
With such great historical and cultural values, on August 26, 2016, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2280/QD-BVHTTDL on recognizing Dien Co Temple (Nghi Truong Commune, Nghi Loc District) as a National Historical Relic./.
