(Baonghean) -This morning, August 11, at Block 4, Nghi Thuy Ward (Cua Lo Town), a solemn ceremony was held to receive the Certificate of recognition of historical and cultural relic awarded by the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Mai Bang Temple was built in 1778, worshiping General Le Khoi - a place to worship and commemorate the merits of Chieu Trung Vuong Le Khoi who had great contributions in the resistance war against the Ming invaders and those who had contributed to the establishment of the land and villages. Mai Bang Temple usually holds two big festivals every year, on the 12th of the second lunar month and the 2nd of the fifth lunar month to commemorate the great contributions of the ancestors, at the same time, praying for blessings, fortune and favorable weather so that fishermen will have good luck when going to sea.

Mai Bang Temple, recognized as a historical and cultural relic, will join the relics of Lo Son Pagoda, Su Hoi Temple and Dao Ngu Pagoda to become a complex of scenic and spiritual relics that not only have historical value but also create more potential for Cua Lo Town to develop cultural tourism.
