By 2020, increase the market share of Vietnamese goods to 80%
The Prime Minister has just signed a Decision approving the Project on developing the domestic market in conjunction with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" for the period 2014 - 2020 with the goal of striving to increase the market share of Vietnamese goods with strengths in distribution channels to over 80% by 2020.

The general objective of the Project on developing the domestic market in conjunction with the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” in the period of 2014 - 2020 is to contribute to promoting the production, business and consumption of Vietnamese goods by focusing resources on promoting a group of market development activities called “Proud of Vietnamese goods”, and at the same time integrating them into the Action Program of Ministries, branches, localities and units responding to the Campaign to create a strong resonance effect nationwide.
The project focuses on organizing a group of market development activities called "Pride in Vietnamese Products" to strive that by 2015, 90% of Vietnamese consumers and businesses will know about the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products"; by 2020, over 70% will know about the group of market development activities called "Pride in Vietnamese Products"; 100% of provinces and centrally run cities, ministries, branches and socio-political organizations will build media channels (television, radio, print, electronic newspapers) with a column called "Pride in Vietnamese Products" to regularly promote the Campaign. Strive to increase the market share of strong Vietnamese products in distribution channels to over 80% by 2020 and 100% of provinces and centrally run cities will implement the Program to build fixed and sustainable Vietnamese Points of Sale called "Pride in Vietnamese Products". 100% of provinces and centrally-run cities have organized support services to connect supply and demand for Vietnamese production and business entities...
To achieve the above goals, the Project proposes 4 groups of solutions that need to be implemented, including: A group of solutions to help change the community's awareness and behavior towards Vietnamese goods; A group of solutions to support the development of a stable and sustainable distribution system for Vietnamese goods; A group of solutions to improve the competitiveness of enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the field of distributing Vietnamese goods; A group of solutions to improve the effectiveness of market inspection and control and consumer protection.
In particular, the group of solutions to support the development of a stable and sustainable Vietnamese goods distribution system will build a national-scale connection program (with regional linkages) between manufacturers, businesses and domestic distributors and agents to expand product coverage, increase the presence of Vietnamese goods in the domestic market; increase investment in developing commercial infrastructure to facilitate the expansion of Vietnamese goods distribution channels in densely populated areas, industrial parks, rural areas, remote areas, border areas, and islands; perfect mechanisms and policies to support sustainable sales activities of Vietnamese goods...
Specifically, in the period of 2014 - 2020, this group of solutions will implement 4 Programs: Program to support the construction of database and update the distribution network of Vietnamese goods nationwide; Program to build a pilot model of Vietnamese Point of Sale called "Proud of Vietnamese goods"; Program to build a warehouse for distributing Vietnamese goods in rural areas; Program to strengthen linkage activities in the sustainable supply chain of Vietnamese goods.
It is expected that the total cost of implementing the above Project is about 228.93 billion VND./.
