Van Loc Temple is an ancient, large-scale architectural work with architectural value, built during the Le Trung Hung period. Through many historical events, the temple still retains many architectural values and preserves many precious artifacts. The temple is the place to worship Thai Uy Quan Cong Nguyen Su Hoi (1444 -1506) - the eldest son of Thai Su Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi. He was a person with great merit in helping the Le Dynasty to repel foreign invaders and pacify the people. In particular, he has been known by generations of Cua Lo Town people from the past to the present for his merit in recruiting people to establish hamlets and establish Van Loc village. "Van Loc" is the name of the village given by Nguyen Su Hoi with the great meaning of wishing for "all blessings to flow to this land". After his death, the people built a temple to worship him and honored him as the village's tutelary god.

Van Loc Temple consists of 3 buildings (the word "tam"), each building has 3 compartments, with a fish-tail tiled roof and the roof is decorated with two dragons facing the sun. The central hall was built the earliest during the Le Dynasty. After several renovations, it has now been restored and embellished. This temple overlooking the Cam River is quite imposing, preserving on the beams, beams, worshiping objects... the unique carvings of the coastal region during the Le and Nguyen dynasties. Rare antiques include two worshiping thrones, two sets of twin swords, and a set of eight treasures (8 types of weapons) with sophisticated carvings, lacquered and gilded from the Le Dynasty, next to incense burners, cranes... made of black bronze from the Nguyen Dynasty. The Nguyen Su Hoi Memorial Festival is held every 3 years, on the "fire" years (Ty, Ngo, Mao, Dau) on the 15th day of the first lunar month. The grand procession, ceremony and opening of the wrestling festival, cockfighting, tug of war, chess, lion dance, the most special and exciting is the boat race, recalling the time when our ancestors reclaimed land, fished, fought to protect the village and the country.

The historical and cultural relic of Van Loc Temple is now a tourist destination that is always crowded with visitors. The scenery here is majestic and simple with mountains and rivers. The temple is always a spiritual destination for local residents and tourists from all over the country.
