(Baonghean.vn) - Hoa Tien brocade weaving village, Chau Tien commune, Quy Chau district (Nghe An) is increasingly developing, with many products bearing the typical characteristics of the Thai people.
From Highway 48, near Chau Tien Bridge, turn onto the winding concrete road through Tong Mong field, to Hoa Tien brocade weaving village. At this time, people have finished harvesting spring rice, men are preparing the land to plant the summer-autumn rice crop, women are at home weaving and embroidering.
From traditional silk thread, Hoa Tien people make a variety of products mainly to serve the needs of Thai women. Currently, the craft village has two cooperatives operating, Minh Hong Brocade Weaving Cooperative and Hoa Tien Brocade Weaving Cooperative, creating favorable conditions for members to operate. All products made are purchased by the Brocade Cooperative Management Board. All products are sold to people in the region, to Hanoi and to Laos.

According to Ms. Sam Thi Huong - Head of Minh Huong Brocade Weaving Cooperative, the cooperative is using 5 foot-pedal sewing machines, which cannot meet current demand. The cooperative needs support to buy industrial sewing machines to make products faster. |
