Bach Ma - "the third spirit" of Nghe An
Every year on the 9th and 10th of the second lunar month, Thanh Chuong district organizes the Bach Ma Temple Festival to commemorate the merits of General Phan Da - who made great contributions in the resistance war against the invading Ming army in the 15th century.

In addition, encourage local people to participate in folk games such as wrestling, tug of war, boat racing, cockfighting... Mr. Tran Duy Hung - Director of Thanh Chuong District Culture, Information and Sports Center said: "In order for the festival to take place safely, seriously, economically and practically, the Organizing Committee coordinates with the district police, youth volunteer teams to protect security, order and traffic safety during the festival; establish a food safety inspection team to inspect food and beverage businesses, serving tourists... Strictly implement festival regulations, resolutely not to let variations occur such as: disguised gambling games, indiscriminate burning of votive papers, superstitious activities...
To serve this year's festival, the District People's Committee has called on collectives, individuals, and children from the homeland who work far away to donate over 900 million VND to restore and embellish the relic. In the near future, the road to the temple will be upgraded, protective walls will be built, bricks will be laid, the kitchen (a waiting room for visitors to rest) will be completed, and additional sacrificial items will be purchased...
Bach Ma Temple Festival will be an ideal destination for tourists in early Spring, a place for everyone to come to worship, express their respect and gratitude to the ancestors who have contributed to protecting and building the country.
Legend of Muong Ham
Muong Ham Festival is the earliest traditional cultural festival of the year of the Thai people, newly restored since Spring 2006, held from February 5-7 of the lunar calendar in Chau Cuong commune - Quy Hop.

To prepare for the Muong Ham Festival, from the 1st to the 15th of the 12th lunar month, the communes have carefully prepared for the festival such as practicing setting up camps, preparing art performances... so that on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, they can proactively hold the festival. On the 5th to 6th of the Lunar New Year, after the opening of the festival, they set up camps, perform the bamboo flute-playing ceremony, drink rice wine, enjoy folk music, folk dance and games, visit Pun Pang cave, Nang Ni fairy cave... On the 7th of the Lunar New Year, they hold the opening ceremony, judge the entries and announce the awards. After the closing of the festival, they move on to the "Pilgrimage to Muong Noi" week, which lasts until the 16th of the first lunar month. During this week, the local government (Chau Cuong commune) will organize to welcome and guide people from other places to visit Muong Noi and burn incense at Tao Noi temple.
