Vinh University honors 99 outstanding students
(Baonghean.vn) -Last night, October 15, Vinh University held the opening ceremony of the 53rd training course, honoring outstanding students and awarding scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties.
In the 2012-2013 school year, Vinh University recruited nearly 5,000 new students in both the full-time and part-time programs, bringing the school's training scale to over 40,000 students in 18 training faculties.
Mr. Sadanori Watanabe awarded the Watanabe - Kanda scholarship to students with difficult circumstances who excel in their studies.
With the theme of “innovating management, improving training quality, promoting integration and development”, this new school year, Vinh University will focus on creating fundamental changes in quality, content, and training methods; strengthening staff building, investing in facilities for teaching and learning, striving to become a key university by 2020, with a number of majors meeting international standards.
At the opening ceremony, Vinh University honored, awarded certificates of merit and prizes to 99 excellent students and 782 good students of the 2011-2012 school year.
On this occasion, 9 organizations and businesses awarded 60 scholarships worth nearly 160 million VND to poor students who have overcome difficulties, along with many other gifts in kind.
