Two young men died tragically while fishing
Four young men connected the electricity grid to inject fish, but an accident occurred and two were electrocuted to death, one was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
On the afternoon of April 20, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Viet - Chairman of Ward 5 People's Committee, Da Lat City confirmed that in the ward there was an incident of using electricity to stab fish, leading to the death of two young men.
The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. the same day at the end of the settling pond of Da Lat Wastewater Treatment Plant, Kim Dong Street (Da Lat City).

At that time, four young men including Tran Van Tho (27 years old, residing in Ward 6, Da Lat City), Le Minh Thien (25 years old, residing in Ward 11, Da Lat City), Nguyen Van Thang (24 years old, residing in Di Linh District) and Ly Dinh Quyet (25 years old, residing in Bao Lam District) asked for electricity from a household along the stream to electrocute fish.

However, suddenly Tho and Thien were electrocuted and gradually sank. Quyet, holding a bucket of fish standing nearby, jumped in to save them and was also electrocuted and drowned.
Many people in the area ran to help, but because the water was deep, Tho and Thien died on the spot. Quyet was electrocuted, but was farther away, so he was only injured and was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
