Cu Chi Tunnels - The most fascinating underground construction in the world
The American CNN website has just published a list of the most fascinating underground structures in the world, including Vietnam's Cu Chi Tunnels.
According to CNN, the Cu Chi tunnels were a system of tunnels used by Vietnamese soldiers for most of the war. The 120-km tunnel system is currently used as a war museum.
Visitors, especially those who can squeeze through the tiny openings, can explore some of the tunnels here, including living quarters, hospitals, supply routes and storage facilities.
Included in the list of the world's most fascinating underground structures are the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland, the Paris Catacombs in France, Mary King's Quarter in Scotland, and underground Seattle in the US.
