After the exam, candidate Ha Thi Hoa, from Ha Huy Tap High School, Vinh City, said that the math test was not difficult, the knowledge was mainly in textbooks and the 12th grade program. It was not difficult for students with average academic ability to achieve a score of 5. "I got 7 points, although the result was not as expected, I will try harder in the following subjects," Hoa confided.
Like Hoa, many candidates were happy because the math test was easy. Question number 6, although it only had one phrase about the MERS-CoV epidemic, surprised many candidates. "The test is increasingly close to current events. We believe that other subjects will have similar content," a male student at Dang Thai Mai High School, Thanh Chuong District happily said.
At the Le Viet Thuat High School exam site, at 10:30 am, candidate Pham Van Phuong was the first candidate to come out of the Le Viet Thuat High School exam site. With a cheerful face, Phuong said that this year's exam was not too difficult. Although Phuong himself only completed 50% of the test, the student from Quy Hop High School was quite satisfied with the result because "his academic ability is very good"...

The first candidates received enthusiastic support from volunteers. |
As for candidate Nguyen Van Huy, a student at Tan Ky High School, this year's exam was a good one, and good students could easily get 7-8 points. The easiest questions were about algebra, finding max and min values, and calculating probability. However, there were two very difficult questions with high classification, which were question 8 about geometry and question 10 about inequalities to find the largest and smallest values. These were two questions that most candidates could not do. Some other opinions said that this year's exam was much easier than expected and not more difficult than last year's university entrance exam. With the desire to enter the University of Transport, candidate Ho Le Hoang - a student at Ha Huy Tap High School shared that he scored himself 8 points. If he did better in the remaining subjects, his chances would be more certain.

Eager for a good test |
Thus, with the first exam, candidates can “breathe a sigh of relief”. This year’s exam was also designed in line with the Ministry of Education and Training’s policy, which is to be close to the textbook program, meeting the requirements for graduation recognition and university admission. Difficult questions are the basis for classifying candidates in order to find those who are truly capable of entering top universities.
Dr. Le Xuan Son, Vice Principal of Vinh University High School for the Gifted, commented: The questions are close to the Ministry's guidelines and sample questions. There are basic parts that are suitable for the majority of candidates. In addition, there are 4 questions to evaluate good students, which are questions 8-10, of which the most difficult is question 10, followed by questions 8 and 9. Good students who have reviewed thoroughly can do question 9. Question 10, although it is a classification question, is good because it is not too difficult, does not puzzle good students to find the answer more naturally, compared to the difficult questions of last year. Question 6, has updated practical knowledge, is topical, and is related to the current MERS disease. |
