After the district informed that Vietnam Electricity Development Corporation agreed to support 300 million, Xa Luong commune mobilized poor households to remove temporary and dilapidated houses and promised to support each household 20 million. However, due to the delay in receiving the support funds, people were worried, some said that the commune officials made empty promises.
After the article was published, on January 16, 2020, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district sent Document No. 06/TTr-UBND to Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company, stating that the Board of Directors of the company unanimously approved financial support of 300 million VND in Decision No. 907/QD-VNPD; Xa Luong commune organized for 15 households to build new houses; the delay in providing financial support led to people's frustration.

Also in Document No. 06/TTr-UBND, Tuong Duong district stated that Nghe An Newspaper reported on people's complaints, which affected the reputation of Xa Luong commune officials and Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company; thereby, requested the company to provide funds to pay for 15 households that had built houses.
On January 20, 2020, in Official Dispatch No. 78/VNPD-KTKH on supporting the removal of dilapidated houses in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An, Vietnam Power Development Joint Stock Company informed that in 2018, it had supported 2 billion VND to Tuong Duong district to resolve existing problems and difficulties in compensation, support, resettlement and overcoming flood consequences.

However, after inspection, the authorities pointed out some shortcomings in the implementation of cash support payments to the people.
Therefore, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district make a list of 15 households in Xa Luong commune who have built new houses and send it to Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company so that the work of funding and support payment can be strictly ensured.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Party Secretary - Chairman of Xa Luong Commune People's Committee said that currently, the commune is making a list of 15 poor households that have built new houses for the District People's Committee to send the list to Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company.
