Colonel, People's Armed Forces Hero Le Duy Ung painted a portrait of General Vo Nguyen Giap right on stage. |
Right at the beginning, the program devoted solemn moments to remembering and expressing gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Elder Brother of our army, the Commander of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Listening to the stories of the guest delegates, the songs that have accompanied the years such as: Hoo chien si Dien Bien, Qua mien Tay Bac, Ho keo Phao... performed by the artists of the Center's Art Troupe and the Dien Bien soldiers of the past, the entire audience seemed to relive the boiling atmosphere of 56 days and nights of "digging mountains, sleeping in tunnels, pouring rain, sticky rice, blood mixed with mud". The American writer, Ms. Lay-di Boc-ton, the special guest of the program, did not hesitate to step onto the stage to interact and participate in a bamboo dance with the artists. She emotionally said: "Meetings like this are traditional and historical, I am very happy to participate with you"'
