After receiving the provincial telegram, on the morning of July 24, Dien Chau district directed coastal communes to call on boats to return to safe shelters. By 10:00 a.m. on July 25, more than 700 boats of Dien Bich and Dien Ngoc fishermen had docked at Lach Van port and anchored at storm shelters in Dien Van.
In addition, 35 offshore vessels with a capacity of over 400CV that could not enter Lach Van port in time were safely anchored at Cua Lo, Thanh Hoa, and Quynh Luu ports. Nearly 800 fishermen's rafts were also brought ashore and carefully covered.
Along with calling for boats to return, from 5 p.m. on July 24, Dien Chau district has issued an order prohibiting boats from going out to sea. The Border Guard Station also strictly controls boats at Lach Van estuary./.
