Dien Chau: 400 people were examined and given free medicine
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 28-29, 400 elderly people, people with disabilities, and people in difficult circumstances in Dien Chau district received free health check-ups and medicine.
The program of free medical examination and medicine provision was organized by Dien Chau Red Cross in coordination with the District Young Doctors Club in 4 communes in the area: Dien Doai, Dien Yen, Dien Hung and Dien Hoang.
At the program, volunteers who are doctors and nurses from Dien Chau General Hospital and Medical Center examined and provided free medicine to more than 400 elderly people, people with disabilities, and people in difficult circumstances.

Along with general health check-ups and medication for common diseases, doctors also advise and guide people on how to prevent diseases. Those who are found to have serious illnesses are advised and referred to medical facilities for timely treatment.

As part of the program "Joining hands to take care of community health", since the beginning of the year, Dien Chau Red Cross has organized 2 rounds of medical examinations and provided free medicine to more than 1,000 poor people, disabled people, the elderly, and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the district.
