Dien Chau: Three 9th grade students were seriously beaten by thugs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the way home from visiting their sister, a group of 9th grade students were severely beaten by a group of thugs, causing one student to suffer a traumatic brain injury, another to be seriously injured, and a third student who escaped on a motorbike also suffered facial injuries.
On the afternoon of April 1, the Criminal Police Department of Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province, announced: They are searching for Nguyen Van Khanh (also known as Ut), born in 1966, residing in My Quan hamlet, Dien Yen commune, to consolidate the case file and initiate prosecution.

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on March 31, a group of 9C students from Dien Truong Secondary School, including three students (all born in 2000), Ho Xuan Hoa (village 12), Chu Tu Duc (village 10) and Ho Van Nam (village 9), Dien Truong Commune, rode a motorbike to visit Nam's sister who got married in Dien Yen Commune. On the way home from visiting his sister, passing through My Quan hamlet, Dien Yen Commune, the group of students were chased and beaten by a group of thugs. Too scared, Nam rode his motorbike and ran away. Duc, who was sitting behind, was dragged off the motorbike and hit multiple times on the head with bricks from the dashboard, causing a traumatic brain injury. Ho Xuan Hoa was thrown rocks and bricks by the thugs as he ran, knocking him down onto the street. After assaulting the victims, the thugs fled.
Upon receiving the report from the people, the Dien Yen Commune Police promptly arrived and notified the Dien Chau District Police to coordinate in handling the case and took the two victims, Duc and Hoa, to Phu Dien General Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to severe brain trauma, the victim Chu Tu Duc was rushed to Nghe An General Hospital for surgery that same night. Through investigation, the Dien Chau District Police identified the leader of the gang as Nguyen Van Khanh.
