Dien Chau: Three workers were struck to death by lightning

(Baonghean.vn) - While working as workers at a construction site in Ninh Thuan province, 5 people living in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An) were struck by lightning, of which 3 died on the spot, 2 others were seriously injured.

On the afternoon of October 4, according to news from the local government of Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An), the above information was confirmed to be accurate, and said that the deceased victims are currently being brought back to their localities.

The three deceased victims were Nguyen Van Trong (32 years old); Le Van Hai (21 years old) and Luong Van Anh (28 years old), all residing in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district.

Accordingly, the incident occurred at around 5:10 p.m. on October 3 in Ninh Son District, Ninh Thuan Province. When workers at the Thuong Song Ong Hydropower Plant in Quang Son Commune, Ninh Son District were entering a camp to take shelter from the rain, they were suddenly struck by lightning, killing three people on the spot. And two seriously injured people, Nguyen Van Viet (28 years old) and Nguyen Van Phi (27 years old), were seriously injured and are being treated.

According to a commune official, it is expected that at around 2-3am on (October 5), the victims' bodies will be brought back to their localities for burial.
