Dien Chau: Preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 24, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district held a meeting to deploy a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2014), the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2014) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Militia and Self-Defense Force.

District People's Committee held a conference to approve the plan.

The District People's Committee has just developed a plan to implement activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 25th anniversary of National Defense Day and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Militia and Self-Defense Force.

Accordingly, the commemorative program includes the following activities: Propaganda and education about the glorious tradition over the past 70 years of the Vietnam People's Army and 80 years of the Militia and Self-Defense Force; Exhibition with the theme "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence" and achievements in economic - political - social development of the district; Organizing the exchange program "Continuing the heroic song" to arouse traditions and build a sense of responsibility among the young generation in general and the young generation of the district's armed forces in particular for the cause of national construction and defense in the current situation. Actively responding to the contest to learn about "Tradition of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and 25 years of the National Defense Day" launched by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. Organizing meetings and gratitude activities such as: offering incense and flowers at historical sites, Martyrs' Cemetery, Martyrs' Temple; Visit, give gifts, give savings books, provide free medical examination and medicine... to families of war invalids, martyrs' relatives, families with preferential policies, people with outstanding revolutionary contributions and those in especially difficult circumstances in the district. Organize a Workers - Farmers - Soldiers volleyball tournament and widely and enthusiastically deploy cultural, sports and physical training activities among all classes of people, agencies, units and schools.
