(Baonghean.vn) -In the 2013 Spring peanut crop, Dien Chau produced on an area of 3,200 hectares. Thanks to the correct implementation of the farming schedule and the application of scientific and technological advances in production, high productivity was achieved.
Mr. Pham Binh Minh in Hamlet 6, Dien Thanh Commune - Dien Chau excitedly said: "This spring peanut crop, my family planted 3 sao, and was guided by the district agricultural extension officers on techniques for care, seed selection and planting peanuts covered with plastic, so we harvested more than 750 kg of fresh peanuts. Currently, my family is harvesting peanuts and preparing the land to be on time for watermelon planting."

Currently, in areas with concentrated peanut growing areas such as Dien Thinh (450 ha), Dien Thanh (230 ha), Dien Ky... people are actively harvesting spring peanuts. Ms. Hoang Thi Huong - Vice Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee said: "Up to this point, people have harvested over 500 ha and it is expected that by May 25, 3,200 ha of spring peanuts will be basically harvested, with a peanut yield of about 25 quintals/ha".
