Dien Chau controls dengue fever epidemic

(Baonghean) On September 21, a dengue fever outbreak occurred in Dien Chau with 34 cases (including 33 cases in Dien Ngoc commune and 1 case in Dien Bich commune).

To control the spread of the disease, Dien Chau Medical Center provided nearly 500 liters of Permethrim chemicals and sent staff to spray disinfectants and kill mosquitoes causing the epidemic in key communes such as Dien Hai, Dien Bich, Dien Ngoc, Dien Van, Dien Phong; at the same time, directed commune health stations to do a good job of propaganda and actively mobilize people to clear trees, collect garbage and kill mosquito larvae.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of epidemic control measures, within just 16 days, Dien Chau announced the successful suppression of dengue fever; all infected cases were cured and no new patients were detected.
