At around 2:40 a.m. on October 27, on National Highway 1A in Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau District (Nghe An), another serious traffic accident occurred, causing traffic congestion on the unified railway section Cau Giat - Yen Ly, forcing trains to run slowly.

At the above time, the CONTAINE truck with license plate 72C 01035, driven by Le Van Tong (1965), residing in Tram Vong 2 - Thanh Tuoc, Go Dau district - Tay Ninh province, was carrying a CONTAINE with license plate 00079 (about 60 tons of goods) traveling from Hanoi to Vinh. At km 409, it overturned onto the roadside, violating the unified railway safety limit of km 267 + 300. Before overturning onto the railway, the car crashed into a series of more than 30 meters of soft guardrails under construction, completely damaging them. Driver Le Van Tong only woke up when the car had overturned onto the road. The traffic accident occurred while the North-South unified train SE3, tourist train NA1, TN train SE20 and cargo train 230, HBN3... were preparing to pass through and had to stop at the two stations of Yen Ly and Cau Giat to issue a warning to slow down and pass the accident location.

As of 6 a.m. this morning, the Dien Chau District Traffic Police, in coordination with the railway industry, are urgently rescuing, towing the vehicle out of the scene, and regulating traffic on both the railway and road.
