Dien Trung is a commune with a relatively large shrimp farming area in Dien Chau with an area of ​​45 hectares/ 70 farming households, but more than 5 hectares have been affected by disease. In order to prevent the spread of the disease, from June 11, Dien Chau Veterinary Station took samples for testing and discovered that 5 shrimp samples from 3 farming households in Dien Trung commune were positive for bacteria that cause acute hepatopancreatic necrosis. This is a disease that can cause mass shrimp deaths, in a short time and has a high level of infection. Due to the infrastructure conditions of the farming area not meeting technical requirements, some households when shrimp got sick did not report to the authorities to handle the disease but discharged the water directly into the outside environment, so the disease spread and spread quickly.

Currently, Dien Chau Veterinary Station has provided 1 ton of chlorine chemicals to communes where the disease has occurred. To limit the outbreak of disease, Dien Chau District People's Committee has developed a plan to disinfect the environment and handle shrimp diseases. Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and the District Veterinary Station have focused their forces to directly direct the communes to spray chemicals to disinfect the water supply and drainage systems and on diseased ponds; mobilize people to use lime powder to disinfect the area around the pond to minimize economic losses for the people./.
