Dien Chau destroyed 450 ducks infected with H5N1

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 4, Dien Chau district continued to destroy 450 ducks infected with H5N1.

Previously, Mr. Dang Van Suat's family in Hamlet 5, Dien Thang Commune discovered 60 sick and dead ducks and 40 ducks showing signs of illness with symptoms such as: swollen heads, swollen eyes, circling, and greenish-white feces. Dien Chau Veterinary Station took samples for testing, the results were positive for H5N1.

Dien Chau district has destroyed Mr. Suat's entire flock of 450 ducks weighing 2.5 - 2.7 kg each. It is known that all of his family's ducks were raised on the edge of the fields and were not vaccinated against the disease.
