(Baonghean.vn) - On February 2, Dien Chau district destroyed nearly 500 ducks infected with H5N1.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung in Hamlet 5, Dien Loc Commune discovered 50 sick and dead ducks and 30 sick ducks with symptoms of swollen heads, greenish-white droppings... Immediately after that, Dien Chau Veterinary Station took samples for testing, the results were positive for H5N1. The district focused on directing the destruction of Mr. Hung's entire flock of ducks, including nearly 500 meat ducks and laying ducks.

It is known that all of his family's ducks are raised free-range and have not been vaccinated.

The provincial Veterinary Department also promptly provided 60 liters of disinfectant spray and 20,000 doses of vaccine to vaccinate all poultry in Dien Loc commune./.
