Dien Chau successfully built a clean salt production model.
(Baonghean)The model was implemented in Van Tai hamlet, Dien Van commune, covering an area of 5,000 m2 with a total investment of 150 million VND, of which the State supported 50% of the investment value. Participating in the model were 25 families who followed a new production method, which was to use plastic tarpaulins on crystallization cells instead of the traditional cement drying yard as before.
This method not only prevents the loss of concentrated brine but also avoids impurities during the drying process, ensuring the safety of the clean salt production process. The project is supported by the National Agricultural Extension Center, under the guidance of the District Agricultural Extension Center, and after 3 months of application at Van Nam Salt Cooperative in Dien Van Commune, it has not only produced clean salt but also increased productivity by 40% compared to manual production.
This is the second model successfully implemented in Dien Van commune, contributing to expanding the production area according to the new process to more than 10 hectares. Currently, Dien Chau Agricultural Extension Station is replicating the model to apply to all 170 hectares of clean salt production in the entire district.
